S&P/TSX composite edges lower in late-morning trading, U.S. stock markets up

TORONTO – Canada’s main stock index edged lower in late-morning, weighed down by losses in the financial and utility sectors, while U.S. stock markets traded higher.

The S&P/TSX composite index was down 11.32 points at 34,144.67.
