After months of statuettes and step-and-repeats, awards season finally reaches its grand finale: the 2026 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre.
Since January, Hollywood has cycled through eight ceremonies and just as many red carpets — from the Critics’ Choice Awards to the Golden Globes and BAFTAs. Each has been a glittering prelude to the prestige and pageantry of the televised finale on the eve of March 15.
Along the way, the race for the gold statuette delivered its share of surprises: “Hamnet” took Best Drama at the Globes, and Michael B. Jordan collected a BAFTA for his performance in “Sinners.” Yet perhaps the most unexpected twist of all has been the fashion.
This season’s red carpets have been notably restrained. Naked dresses were scarce; in their place came a parade of black-and-white palettes and sharply architectural silhouettes that were — dare we say — demure. But the 2026 Oscars red carpet — traditionally the most classic of them all — delivered a few welcome shocks. Feathers were everywhere, as seen on Nicole Kidman, Teyana Taylor and Demi Moore. So was the colour pink, on Jessie Buckley and McKenna Grace. And brooches were the vibe of the night for the men, as worn by Hudson Williams and Shaboozey.

Michael B. Jordan
It’s a truth universally acknowledged that Michael B. Jordan can do no wrong on a red carpet — and he proved it once again at the 2026 Oscars. Wearing an all-black ensemble, his jacket featured military accents, paired with a gold chain around his waistband.
Kevin O’Leary
There’s over-the-top, and then there’s Kevin O’Leary over-the-top. The Canadian businessman and TV personality attended the 2026 Oscars for his work in “Marty Supreme,” making sure he could be seen from space. Wearing a black and silver-embroidered smoking jacket, he accessorized with bold chains and a diamond-encrusted NBA card featuring Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, which sold for US$2.4 million last month.
Teyana Taylor, Nicole Kidman and Demi Moore
Teyana Taylor, Nicole Kidman and Demi Moore all arrived to the Oscars ready to take flight. Moore wore a custom Gucci gown featuring black and green iridescent quills. Nicole Kidman took the stage in a powder-pink Chanel peplum dress accented with plumes. Best supporting actress nominee Teyana Taylor also chose Chanel, keeping it classic in black and white with feathers around the waist.
Timothée Chalamet
Timothée Chalamet arrived on the red carpet surprisingly demure. Wearing an all white suit — accessorized with “Marty Supreme”-esque sunglasses — the best actor nominee kept it simple and unsaturated. Missing on the carpet was his partner, Kylie Jenner, who showed off her red sequinned look on Instagram.
Chase Infiniti
Chase Infiniti, a star of Paul Thomas Anderson’s acclaimed “One Battle After Another,” has been the one to watch all awards season long. Her looks have been unexpected, elegant and exquisitely executed, and her 2026 Oscars arrival at the Dolby Theatre is no different. Looking lovely in lilac, Infiniti is wearing a custom Louis Vuitton ballgown with a triple-decker De Beers necklace.
Rose Byrne
Nominee Rose Byrne embraced classic elegance in Dior at the Dolby Theatre. The Australian talent, nominated for best female actor in a leading role for “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You,” favoured classic silhouettes all season long and doubled down on her timeless esthetic in a black Dior dress adorned with floral embroidery, paired with a Taffin by James de Givenchy necklace featuring a yellow diamond.
Hudson Williams
Hudson Williams arrives at the 2026 Oscars red carpet wearing an all black suit by Balenciaga, accessorized with Bvlgari jewellery. The look is a bit safe for the “Heated Rivalry” star, as he typically ventures into more exciting sartorial territory. Missing is his costar Connor Storrie, who has also been a red carpet mainstay this season.
Emma Stone
Emma Stone’s recent red-carpet choices have been a mixed bag, but when she hits, she hits hard. At the 2026 Oscars, she arrived in a custom silver Louis Vuitton gown with cap sleeves and an empire waist. Blending the romanticism of Jane Austen’s “Emma” with the high-shine factor of Studio 54, the look was both elegant and effective — and may be our pick for best dressed of the night.
Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams
A crop top at the Oscars? Apparently so. Gracie Abrams debuted a midriff-baring Chanel two-piece while walking the red carpet alongside her partner, Paul Mescal, who is attending to support his film, “Hamnet.” The internet’s favourite couple may have made their debut at the BAFTAs, but that didn’t stop the pair from turning the Oscars into their very own date night.
Gwyneth Paltrow
Whether you love or hate “Marty Supreme,” the film brought Gwyneth Paltrow out of acting retirement — and for that, we can be grateful. Channeling her younger self circa the 1990s, the actress embraced a minimalist aesthetic in a white Armani Privé gown, adding sparkle with a diamond-encrusted necklace and earrings.
