Over the timespan of a couple of hours, our phones silenced, blue blankets in hand, the group walked single-file along the trail, stopping at regular intervals to follow Prazmowski’s prompts in using our senses to describe the forest. “What do you notice?,” she would ask, or “What sounds do you hear? What is the smallest thing you see? What is smaller than that?”
