A man with Parkinson’s disease has had his specially built adult tricycle stolen, and the Ottawa police would like the public’s help as they search for the person who took it.
The theft took place between July 12 and July 14, when the tricycle was taken from a residential driveway in the Alta Vista area, the Ottawa Police Service said in a news release on Aug. 4.
Police said the trike “was custom-made for an elderly male with advanced Parkinson’s disease.”
Police described the suspect as a male with long, brown curly hair past his shoulders and tanned skin, and said he was wearing a red T-shirt, black pants with patches, black rubber or motorcycle-style boots, and was also carrying a black backpack.
Anyone with information about this suspect’s identity or the incident was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, extension 4713. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca.
