Health Canada is warning customers about a new product recall involving Amana heat pumps and air conditioners that pose a risk of serious injury. A ground fault in the equipment poses a burn and fire hazard.
“Immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Daikin Comfort Technologies,” the notice published on Sept. 3 warns.
No reports of incidents or injuries have been received in Canada as of Sept. 1. In the U.S. the company has received two reports of a component on the control board shorting, but no injuries have been reported.
