According to officials, it is the first purpose-built centre of its kind in Canada. As of now, the daycare has 10 infants, 15 toddlers and 24 preschoolers, but it has capacity for 10 more. Tina McLean, a program co-ordinator with Andrew Fleck, said the centre was designed so that intergenerational relationships would intentionally be part of their everyday lives.
