On Sept. 25 at the Fairmont Royal York, more than 500 influential women, leaders and changemakers gathered for the Women Empowerment Awards. Presented by Rogers, with Mantella Corporation as lead sponsor, the sold-out gala celebrated 10 women making their mark in business, leadership and community. Tammie Sutherland of Breakfast Television and Cynthia Mulligan of CityNews hosted the event, which featured Klaudia Zinaty, founder and CEO of the Women Empowerment Awards and the Women Empowerment Foundation, and Juno-winning singer Simone Denny.
