The provincial government has announce a new secondary school in Tumbler Ridge to replace the one that was the site of a mass shooting in February.
Shortly after the tragedy, Premier David Eby had promised the community that students would never have to go back to the school, and he says he is committed to making it happen as soon as possible.
The previous school will be torn down, and the new facility will be built on a new site.
More to come.
