TORONTO – BlackBerry Ltd.‘s QNX division and software partner Vector have signed a deal with Coretura that will see the joint venture founded by Daimler Truck and Volvo Group use its Alloy Kore vehicle software.
Financial terms of the agreement were not immediately available.
BlackBerry says it is the first design win for Alloy Kore.
Coretura is building a software-defined vehicle platform for commercial vehicles.
It will use Alloy Kore as the software platform foundation.
QNX president John Wall says the selection of Alloy Kore represents a significant step for the future of software-defined commercial vehicles.
