Rogers is betting big on Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, with the home renovation stars headlining the media giant’s 2026-27 original specialty TV lineup.
The Baeumlers will lead three new unscripted HGTV series under their exclusive production deal with Rogers, following the broadcaster’s takeover of HGTV in Canada and its swift move to bring some of the network’s most recognizable faces over from Corus Entertainment.
The company announced Tuesday that the TV power couple will host “Home Town Takeover Canada,” as well as produce and star in “Baeumler Ranch” and “Sarah Baeumler By Design.” Broadcast details are still to come.
In 2024, Rogers inked a multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Discovery that saw it scoop the rights to HGTV from Corus, along with several other key brands, including Food Network, Cooking Channel and OWN.
Among other new Canadian series on the broadcaster’s slate is Food Network’s “Restaurant Impossible: Last Call,” which follows chef Aarón Sánchez and Canadian restaurateur Jen Agg as they rescue struggling restaurants across North America. It premieres July 23.
Meanwhile, “Deadliest Catch: Northern Edge” — a Canadian original for Discovery — is set for January 2027. The reality series following fishermen is currently in production in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and the North Atlantic.
The Baeumlers gained popularity leading several HGTV Canada series under the Corus banner, including “House of Bryan” and “Island of Bryan.”
After losing HGTV, Corus rebranded its home-focused channel as Home Network, touting the Baeumlers as two of its main stars, and rolling out a new show featuring the duo called “Building Baeumler,” which launched last year.
In Rogers’ press release Tuesday, the couple said that they’re “thrilled” to deepen their partnership with HGTV.
“This slate reflects everything we love about what we do — celebrating communities and helping people reimagine what’s possible in their spaces.”
Rogers’ lineup, revealed before its Upfronts presentation to advertisers, also leans heavily on a slew of new and returning U.S. acquisitions.
Bravo will bring back staples including “The Real Housewives of New York City,” “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” “Below Deck” and “Southern Charm,” alongside new titles “Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Las Vegas” and “Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives.”
HGTV continues with new seasons of “House Hunters,” “Sin City Rehab,” and “Scariest House in America,” while Food Network dishes out new servings of “Halloween Baking Championship,” “Holiday Baking Championship” and “Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown.”
Discovery, meanwhile, will launch new series including “Alaska Frontier Rookies,” “Rescue 911” and “How It Works.” The network’s annual Shark Week also returns July 26 for its 38th year.
