The death of an unidentified person in Spencerville was under investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police on Saturday, Aug. 29.
A news release from the OPP said the deceased individual was found in a residence on Crowder Road by officers from the Grenville County detachment.
“Preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident, with no signs of a broader threat,” the release said, adding that Spencerville residents could expect to see an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continued.

Spencerville is about 75 kilometres south of Ottawa.
