A 31-year-old Ottawa man is facing charges after allegedly masturbating while making a delivery at Fitzroy Provincial Park.
Ontario Provincial Police said a park employee reported seeing the driver performing a lewd act while staring at her shortly before 1:30 p.m. on May 28.
The employee went to seek help after noticing the man’s behaviour, police said. Moments later, she heard a loud noise and saw the delivery van speeding away from the park. The vehicle allegedly crashed through the park’s front gate as it left.
Police said the same driver returned to the park for another delivery on June 2. He was arrested on June 5.
The man was been charged with committing an indecent act in a public place and careless driving. He was scheduled to appear in an Ottawa court at a later date.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
Fitzroy Provincial Park is about 60 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.
