On Feb. 5, TIFF hosted an opening ceremony and reception for the 25th edition of Canada’s Top Ten showcase, presented by MUBI, celebrating the most outstanding Canadian feature films and shorts of 2025. Honourees included Jay McCarrol, Eric K. Boulianne, Zacharias Kunuk, Sophy Romvari and many other filmmakers whose work continues to shape contemporary Canadian cinema. Filmmaker Henri Pardo received the Charles Officer Legacy Award, honouring his powerful contributions to Canadian storytelling.
