TORONTO – Fractional jet ownership company AirSprint Inc. has signed a deal to be acquired by a group including Onex Partners, TriWest Capital Partners and other co-investors.
Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.
Calgary-based AirSprint operates a fractional fleet of private aircraft across Canada.
The companies say the deal will help support AirSprint’s next phase of growth, including fleet expansion, operational enhancements, technology investments and strategic initiatives.
Following closing of the transaction, AirSprint founder and chairman Judson Macor will become chairman emeritus, while chief executive James Elian will continue in his role and remain on AirSprint’s board.
Macor, Elian and other certain current shareholders in AirSprint are expected to remain investors once the deal is complete.
