CALGARY – Imperial Oil Ltd. reported a third-quarter profit of $2.45 billion, up from $539 million in the same quarter last year, boosted by higher oil prices.
The company says the profit amounted to $5.11 per diluted share for the quarter compared with a profit of $1.07 per diluted share a year ago.
Total revenue and other income amounted to $16.21 billion, up from $12.05 billion in the same quarter last year.
Imperial says its profit excluding identified items for the quarter amounted to $5.11 per diluted share in its latest quarter, up from $2.17 per diluted share a year ago.
Upstream production averaged 418,000 gross oil-equivalent barrels per day, down from 462,000 a year ago, primarily due to lower production at Kearl and planned turnarounds at Cold Lake and Syncrude.
Refinery throughput averaged 381,000 barrels per day, down from 425,000 in the third quarter of 2025 as capacity utilization dropped to 88 per cent, compared with 98 per cent in the third quarter of 2025. Imperial says it faced unplanned downtime, a third-party pipeline outage, and a planned turnaround.
