Forensic examination has confirmed that a 61-year-old woman found dead in Greater Madawaska Township earlier in May was the victim of homicide , the Ontario Provincial Police said Friday.
The victim was identified as Geraldine Fulcher of Calabogie. Her body was located at about 6 p.m. on May 6 on Lanark Road in Greater Madawaska.
In a release, OPP said investigators believed this had been “a targeted incident, with no indication of a broader threat.
“The OPP asks that the public refrain from sharing unconfirmed information, which can cause additional harm to the victim’s family and may interfere with the integrity of the investigation.”
Anyone with information about the case was asked to contact the Renfrew detachment of the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or ontariocrimestoppers.ca with anonymous tips.
