On June 18, the Telus Friendly Future Foundation hosted its third annual Together for Tomorrow Gala, raising $3 million to expand opportunities for underserved youth through the foundation’s student bursary program. More than 800 guests from the philanthropic, business and arts communities gathered at the Telus Centre for Performance and Learning for an evening headlined by four-time Grammy Award winner Lionel Richie. Spearheaded by Telus global ambassador Jay McCauley, the gala also celebrated the 26-year tenure of outgoing CEO Darren Entwistle and his family, whose $1 million gift helped inspire a record-breaking night of generosity.
