A man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly shooting at a Peel Regional Police (PRP) officer in Mississauga.
Authorities were conducting an investigation in the area of Torbram Road and Lucknow Drive at approximately 4:30 a.m. when a man allegedly pulled out a gun and shot at a cop.
“The officer was not struck or injured,” PRP wrote in a statement to CityNews. “Officers subsequently arrested the suspect, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
The circumstances of the investigation and the identity of the suspect were not revealed.
