Mother, child seriously injured in Osgoode-area crash

A woman in her 40s and her child suffered serious injuries Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Dalmeny Road and Nixon Drive, south of Osgoode.

Ottawa paramedics spokesperson Tyler Leslie said the child is in critical condition, while the woman, in her 40s, is in serious conditions.

The crash occurred shortly before noon.

The victims were transported to Kemptville District Hospital. Paramedics did not provide further details of the age or gender of the child.

Paramedic responders from Ottawa and Leeds and Grenville attended the crash.

Police say road closures are in effect and the public is asked to avoid the area.
