One person is dead and a child was airlifted to hospital in critical condition following a three-vehicle collision including an ambulance on Highway 15 near Lombardy late Friday afternoon.
Three others were injured, two of them seriously, in the collision near Lombardy, about 90 kilometres southwest of Ottawa.
Ontario Provincial Police said the crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Unconfirmed reports indicate the first collision involved an ambulance striking another vehicle head-on.
There was no information on the age or injuries of the child airlifted to CHEO via ORNGE ambulance service.
There has been no update on the age or gender of the deceased person or on the conditions of the two adults taken to area hospitals.
The roadways were reopened late Friday night.
