Ontario’s students' Grade 6 and 9 math scores are a concern, while they're testing slightly higher overall

In Grade 3, almost two-thirds of Ontario students are meeting the provincial standard in math. But in Grade 6, only half are.

When it comes to writing, two-thirds of Grade 3s are hitting or exceeding the standard, but in that case the number jumps to 85 per cent for Grade 6s, according to the results of the latest round of province-wide testing released Friday.
