The Ottawa Charge was facing a daunting task as the Walter Cup final shifted to the nation’s capital for Game 3 on Monday evening.
Down 2-0 in the Professional Women’s Hockey League championship series after back-to-back overtime losses to the Montreal Victoire on the road, the Charge needed to win Monday to extend the best-of-five series.
If they managed to do that, it would be on to Game 4 on Wednesday night, again at home, with a Game 5, if necessary, scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Laval.
Ottawa Citizen photographer Tony Caldwell was at the CTC on Monday as the Charge, supported by its home fans, looked to keep its season alive.
