Ottawa police seek suspect in Orléans sexual assault

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for public assistance in identifying a suspect in an alleged sexual assault in Orléans on Sunday, Sept. 13.

In a news release on Sept. 16, OPS said the incident was alleged to have occurred near the intersection of Brian Coburn Boulevard and Provence Avenue at about 9 p.m. A woman was jogging in that area when a man rode by her on an electric scooter and slapped her buttocks.

The release described the suspect as a White man in his twenties, dressed in all black with his hood up.

Anyone who has information about the suspect or has surveillance or dash-cam video from the area during the time of Sunday’s incident was asked to contact the OPS East Division Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, ext. 3566.
