Ottawa police seeking witnesses to overnight stabbing on Rochester Street

Ottawa police are looking for witnesses to a overnight stabbing Wednesday on Rochester Street.

A victim called police saying they had been stabbed near a park in the 100 block of Rochester Street on Sept. 2, 2026 at 12:22 a.m., police said in a news release.

“They were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.

Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps says emergency crews were called to Rochester Street near Albert Street, soon after midnight.

“An adult male was taken to the hospital in critical condition but it doesn’t seem life-threatening at this point,” Deschamps told the Citizen .

Anyone with information or who may have witness the overnight stabbing is asked to call the Central Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5166 or email [email protected].
