Ottawa resident dead after single-vehicle crash in North Grenville

A 44-year-old Ottawa resident was killed in a single-vehicle crash in North Grenville on Thursday evening.

In a release, the Ontario Provincial Police said the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on County Road 43 near Burritts Rapids Road just before 7:45 p.m. on Sept. 17.

The driver was not identified publicly by police.

County Road 43 was closed in both directions between Burritts Rapids Road and County Road 25 for several hours while investigators were at the scene, but reopened later.

Members of Grenville County detachment of the OPP were continuing the investigation on Friday.

Anyone with information or dashcam video related to the crash was asked to contact Grenville County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

North Grenville is about 55 kilometres south of Ottawa.
