A pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by an SUV that left the roadway in Centretown.
Multiple paramedic crews were sent to the corner of Laurier Avenue and O’Connor Street at about 4:20 p.m. on Friday after the SUV left the roadway and struck a building.
The pedestrian, a man in his 20s who was on the sidewalk, sustained multi-system trauma. He was sent to The Ottawa Hospital trauma centre in serious condition, said paramedics.
Three people in the SUV were assessed for their injuries and were released.
