Pierre Poilievre asks Carney to recall Parliament to scrutinize collapsed Trump trade talks

OTTAWA — Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is formally requesting that Prime Minister Mark Carney recall Parliament to scrutinize his decisions to end trade talks with the U.S. and retaliate with dollar-for-dollar tariffs. 

Poilievre made his request in a letter sent to Carney on Sunday evening, saying “we must put the national interest first.”
