Ottawa police are investigating a stabbing that occurred near the intersection of Daly Avenue and Nicholas Street in the downtown Rideau area on Aug. 4.
Police said a male victim was transported to hospital in critical condition at about 9:45 p.m. that day.
In a media release on Aug. 28, police did not specify what kind of weapon was used, nor the current condition of the victim.
The release said investigators were trying to identify a group of about 16 males who were apparently involved in the incident.
In the photos provided, the men appeared to be young, some dressed in athletic clothing, others in button-down shirts.
Police asked anyone with information about the identity of those men, or who witnessed the stabbing, to call the Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, ext. 5166.
