The Toronto District School Board says Toronto police have placed nine schools in the Riverdale area of the city in hold and secure mode on Wednesday afternoon.
Police tell CityNews that officers are on scene investigating at a school in the neighbourhood due to a threat that was received by a student.
They did not specify which school the student was from, only saying that “several schools in the area are in ‘hold and secure’ mode or sheltering in place while officers work to determine whether the threat is credible.”
