Silvercorp slows mining operations in China for required safety work

VANCOUVER – Silvercorp Metals Inc. says it is slowing work at its Ying and GC mining operations in China to implement new safety systems following recent changes to government requirements.

The company says the work is expected to cost about US$5.5 million and take roughly 50 days to complete.
