S&P/TSX composite closes higher as oil prices rise, U.S. markets end lower

TORONTO – Canada’s main stock index recovered its earlier losses and ended in positive territory on Monday, while U.S. stock markets closed lower as artificial-intelligence stocks slid.

The S&P/TSX composite index was up 5.04 points at 35,702.53.
