S&P/TSX composite down despite energy sector strength as oil tops US$90 a barrel

TORONTO – Canada’s main stock index was down in late-morning trading despite strength in the energy sector as the price of oil rose to top US$90 per barrel.

The November crude oil contract was up US$4.72 at US$93.00 per barrel.
