S&P/TSX composite down in late-morning trading, U.S. stock markets trade higher

TORONTO – Canada’s main stock index was down more than 100 points in late-morning trading, weighed down by losses in the energy sector, while U.S. markets climbed.

The S&P/TSX composite index was down 131.58 points at 36,702.67.
