“I can tell you when we pick up the phone and call city staff and say, “I need you to do this. You are looking at weeks or months in some cases.” One thing that I would like council to recognize is we’re actually in charge, and we have professional public servants to provide advice and guidance, but they’re there to take instruction. In the next term, council will be a little more deliberative and more decisive when it comes to executing the priorities of our residents.”
