A third person from Quebec has been charged in connection with a home invasion in South Glengarry that left two people dead in February 2025.
Marc André DeMontigny-Defoy, 36, of Coteau-du-Lac, Que., was to appear in court at Cornwall on Wednesday to face charges stemming from the incident at a residence on Old Highway 2 on the evening of Feb. 2, 2025.
The charges against DeMontigny-Defoy include: conspiracy to commit an indictable offence; break and enter of a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; break and enter with intent to steal a firearm; committing a robbery to steal a firearm; unauthorized possession of a firearm; knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm; armed robbery; and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
Two people in the South Glengarry residence with gunshot wounds were pronounced deceased, while a third individual fled the scene before police arrived, the Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release dated Oct. 21, adding that the residents of the home were uninjured.
The victims were later identified as Eddie Alobhouet, 19, and Tristan Simard, 18, both of St-Jérôme.
Police believed it was a targeted incident, the release said.
In August 2026, the OPP charged two other Quebec residents in the case.

Cloutier remained in custody and was scheduled to appear in court in Cornwall on Oct. 27.
Also charged was Stephanie Pigeon, 34, of St-Jérôme: accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence and obstructing justice.
Pigeon was released from custody following a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear in court at Cornwall on Nov. 17.
The investigation remains ongoing, led by the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry detachment, the OPOP said.
