A generation of young people has grown up online — for better or worse. Now a wave of innovators, advocates and policy makers is stepping in to make that experience safer, healthier and more empowering.
Toronto Star’s politics reporter Raisa Patel will lead a conversation about reshaping the digital landscape for kids on Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. at MaRS Discovery District.
Panelists include Baroness Beeban Kidron, a global champion of children’s rights in the digital space, Diana Fox Carney, economist and climate policy expert and Ava Smithing, producer and host of the Star’s Peabody-award winning podcast, Left to Their Own Devices.
This event launches our monthly Toronto Star Live @ MaRS series, which will bring together journalists, innovators and Torontonians for conversations around the solutions our city needs now.
