A city councillor is questioning whether safety at a major Toronto concert venue can be improved after this week’s fierce storm left parts of it in ruins.

Rogers Stadium suffered significant damage during Wednesday’s severe weather, which pounded the city with heavy rain and shearing winds. Destruction visible at the 50,000-capacity Downsview Park site included sections of its northern seating area that appeared torn apart, and bleachers that looked to have buckled.
