Jeff Gilchrist, an AI data scientist and manager of CHEO’s AI team, says his team works on a variety of projects with different departments at the hospital. His team acts as a central resource, he said — staff from various departments come to the team with problems, and the researchers will come up with ways to use AI to solve them, if that’s appropriate.
