Three people were shot inside a residence in Toronto’s Bridle Path neighbourhood early Thursday morning, according to police, while a fourth person was also transported to hospital.
Toronto police said officers were called to the area of Bayview Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East at approximately 3:43 a.m. following reports of a shooting inside a home.
Investigators said three people were shot inside the residence, while four people were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
The shooting appears to have occurred at a home on Hyde Park Circle in the Bridle Path area, where multiple police cruisers were seen parked along the street as officers investigated.
Police said three suspects fled the scene in an SUV. No suspect descriptions have been released.
Investigators have not disclosed the circumstances leading up to the shooting, nor have they said whether the victims and suspects were known to one another.
