Arrest warrants have been issued for two Ottawa men wanted in the death of 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards in Perth.
Joseph Madore, 34, and Brayton Kennedy, 28, both of Ottawa, face second-degree murder charges.
Richards, an Ottawa resident, was found with life-threatening injuries in Last Duel Park at about 3:15 p.m. on April 12. He was rushed to a regional trauma centre and later pronounced dead.
Last week, police with the OPP Lanark detachment said they believed the incident was “targeted with no signs of a broader threat.”
However, police have warned those who see Madore or Kennedy not to approach them.
“Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately,” the OPP said in a statement.
Anyone with any information about the investigation is asked to immediately contact the Lanark County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
The Lanark County OPP is conducting the investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. The OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Forensic Identification Services and the OPP East Region Regional Support Team are providing assistance.
