Art Gallery of Ontario top leader Stephan Jost stepping down after a decade of expansion and controversy

Longtime Art Gallery of Ontario director and CEO Stephan Jost, who steered the museum through the COVID-19 pandemic and helped spearhead a major new expansion but whose tenure has also been mired in controversy, will step down from his position at the end of this year. 

The museum announced the leadership change in a Tuesday press release, which said Jost will remain in his position until Dec. 31.
