The San Antonio Spurs handed the Oklahoma City Thunder their first playoff loss of the season and helped a Proline retail bettor earn $30,000.
San Antonio opened the Western Conference final with a 122-115 double-overtime win over Oklahoma City on Monday, the Thunder’s first loss in nine playoff games. The series continues Wednesday night.
According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, a retail bettor made a $30 wager. The three-leg parlay was for both teams to tie the third quarter, the game be tied after four quarters and that second-half ponts (including overtime) had to equal the same total.
Meanwhile in NHL playoff action, the Montreal Canadiens advanced to the Eastern Conference final with a 3-2 overtime win over the Buffalo Sabres in the seventh and deciding game of their second-round series. Fifty-seven per cent of bettors backed Montreal to win the contest but only 10 per cent had the under 5.5 goals.
Buffalo forced the deciding game with an 8-3 victory. A retail customer bet $20 that five different Sabres would score a goal in the game.
The customer just needed Tage Thompson to score going into the third period and he did into the empty net, earning the customer over $20,000 from a $20 wager.
A digital player won $2,801.73 from a $4 bet on a 14-leg tennis parlay. Another received $3,152 from a $50 wager on a 12-leg parlay.
A retail customer earned $1,245.50 from a $10 bet on a seven-leg baseball parlay.
