A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection to a July 12 assault on the edge of Gatineau Park .
The Gatineau Police Service said officers were called to the P3 parking lot at 6 a.m., and located an injured individual who was then transported to hospital.
More than 10 days after the incident, police said on July 23, the victim was still in serious condition.
On July 22, Zachary Gauthier was arrested and charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Police said they conducted a search of an apartment on Boulevard du Plateau in Gatineau, closing off the scene for nearly 24 hours, as part of the investigation, which is ongoing.
Gauthier was expected to appear in court on July 23.
