The Ottawa Police Service on Thursday requested public assistance in locating a 12-year-old youth listed as missing.
A news release from OPS said Emily Koonoo had last been seen at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 23, 2026, in the 1600 block of Hunt Club Road.
The release described Koonoo as Indigenous, standing four feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 90 pounds and having long black hair, brown eyes and multiple nose and ear piercings. She was last seen wearing grey pants, a black sweater and black shoes.
Anyone with information about Koonoo’s whereabouts or who had seen her was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, ext. 7300. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or online at crimestoppers.ca.
