Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday after a garbage bin flipped off of a forklift and fell onto them at an active construction site on the 100th block of Argyle Ave. according to paramedics.
The patients, one in their 30s and the other in their 50s, were both transported to the hospital in “serious but stable condition,” Ottawa Paramedic Service acting superintendent Nicolas Guertin said.
“We do not have a gender or specific age,” Guertin said.
Paramedics responded to the incident at approximately 8:20 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to Guertin.
Paramedics did not confirm the circumstances of the event and whether the injured people were passerbys or workers on the construction site.
